Every Sunday we meet up at the Sanctuary and share four things to help us reset and be ready for the week ahead. Below you’ll find my four — feel free to share yours too. 💛
✨ This Week’s Sunday Sanctuary Ritual
🌼 One Thing I’m Grateful For My husband doing the dishes after all my baking messes. He’s been supporting me so well through this little business adventure, and I’m so thankful for that.
🍃 One Thing I’m Releasing I’m releasing the worry of failure and putting this whole thing in God’s hands. He’ll deliver what I need — whatever that may be.
🌙 One Thing I’m Looking Forward To I’m excited for the launch of Busy Brain Pantry next week and looking forward to seeing the first part of prep come together.
☕ One Moment of Calm My moment of calm was a Hobby Lobby and grocery run with my husband yesterday morning. It was a simple, sweet break from the chaos.

I’m Christal — a 38‑year‑old mom, bonus mom, and professional chaos‑manager in every sense of the word. I have two amazing kids of my own (19 and 16) and six bonus kids ranging from 33 to 14. My weekends are often spent cheering my son on at ag shows, proudly watching him show pigs and live out his passion.
By day, I’m a Compliance Manager for a government contractor, armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a knack for keeping things organized — even when my brain feels anything but.
By night (and sometimes in the middle of the day), I’m the voice behind Busy Brain Sanctuary — a space I created to help me process the whirlwind inside my head and connect with others who live with busy, neurodivergent minds.
This blog is my way of turning the chaos into connection — sharing stories, laughter, and lessons from a life that’s beautifully complicated. Life isn’t always easy, but I’ve learned that the hard parts become manageable when we stop fighting the storm and start finding calm within it. My hope is that Busy Brain Sanctuary helps others do the same — to find grace, humor, and clarity in the middle of their own busy brains.
