If you’ve spent more than five minutes inside my brain, you know it’s a whole circus in there — thoughts swinging from one idea to the next, emotions doing backflips, and a to‑do list that never stops multiplying. Over the years, I’ve collected a handful of things that help me slow down, breathe deeper, laugh harder, or just feel a little more like myself again.

Busy Brain Favs is my little corner of the internet where I share those things with you — the books that made me feel seen, the podcasts that kept me company on loud days, the tools that help me stay organized (or at least pretend to be), and the small comforts that make life feel softer.

None of this is sponsored, curated, or meant to be perfect. It’s simply the stuff I genuinely love — the things that support my busy brain, spark joy, or help me reset when life gets loud. Maybe you’ll find something here that does the same for you.

Books I Love

You With The Sad Eyes

by Christina Applegate

This book… wow. It’s raw, honest, and absolutely unforgettable. Christina opens the door to her life — her struggles with MS, her childhood, her career, her heartbreaks — and she tells it all with a kind of vulnerability that hits you right in the chest. I found myself hanging on every chapter and wishing there were more even when I reached the end. It completely changed the way I see her. A powerful, emotional, 10/10 must‑read.

Nobody’s Girl

by Virginia Giuffre

This book is raw, honest, and deeply eye‑opening. Virginia shares her story with a level of vulnerability that’s hard to read at times — not because of the writing, but because of the truth she lived through. Her account of the abuse so many young women suffered at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein is heartbreaking and unsettling, but also incredibly important. Some chapters were tough to get through because of how real and unfiltered they are, yet that’s exactly what makes this book powerful. It’s a heavy read, but a meaningful one, and I’m glad I picked it up.

Gone Girl

by Gillian Flynn

This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Every time I thought I had the plot figured out — bam — another twist hit me out of nowhere. It’s one of those stories that keeps flipping itself inside out until you don’t know who to trust or what’s coming next. Dark, clever, and completely addictive.

Podcasts That Keep Me Company

Crime Junkie (Podcast)

If you love true crime, this podcast is an absolute must‑listen. There’s something about the way these two tell a story that instantly pulls you in and somehow calms my busy brain at the same time. When I’m spiraling or just need something steady to focus on, their voices and the way they break down each case are exactly what I need. These chicks are awesome — and once you start, you’ll understand why so many of us can’t stop listening.
