Yea yea yea… I know. I haven’t written in a while. I said I would. And technically, I did mean it at the time.

But listen — running a business on top of a full‑time job is not for the weak. I’m not trying to make excuses, but I also refuse to pretend this season isn’t a lot. Some days I feel like I jumped the gun launching the Porch Stand… and other days I’m genuinely glad I did. If I could go back, I probably would’ve tested recipes for 3–4 weeks before opening instead of just launching with what I knew. But here we are — learning as we go, like always.

And honestly? I’ve learned a lot.

My brain already runs with about 20 tabs open on a normal day, and now I’m pretty sure I’ve doubled that. I’m always doing something — usually in the kitchen — and even though it’s exhausting, I love every second of it. It’s healing something in me I didn’t even know needed healing. But ya girl gets tired. Like… bone‑deep tired.

Still, I’m showing up. I’m trying. And I’m going to try to be better about checking in here at least once a week.

I want to grow this community. I want to grow this business. And I want to keep sharing the messy, honest parts of all of it.

Because here’s something people don’t talk about enough when it comes to being neurodivergent: the constant gear‑switching. The brilliant ideas that show up out of nowhere. The other ideas we abandon too soon. The struggle to stay on track. The way motivation comes in waves. The way doubt sneaks in at the worst times.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to give up on the Pantry already because it hasn’t gained a ton of momentum yet. But then I remind myself — Rome wasn’t built in a day. Good things take time. And I’m still in the “putting myself out there” stage. One day it’ll be better (hopefully). And if it isn’t? At least I’ll know I showed up and tried.

I really believe this could be something great. A way to channel my energy. A way to share something meaningful with people. A way to build something that feels like me.

So I’ll check in again soon. Just know things are good over here — just a little crazy and busy as usual.

And honestly… that feels pretty on brand.
