Listen… my brain loves to act like if I didn’t climb a mountain, solve world peace, and reorganize my entire life in one day, then I “did nothing.” So this week, I decided to clap for the small wins — the ones my busy brain usually skips right over while it’s busy panicking about something from 2011.

Here are the little victories I’m celebrating this week:

• The director of our program only had four comments on a paper me and a coworker wrote (which in government‑contractor language is basically a standing ovation)

• My birthday was literally so much fun

• I got a day off in the middle of the week — a rare unicorn

• There were zero meltdowns from my kid this week (a blessing straight from the heavens)

• Friends showed up to celebrate me last Saturday and filled my cup

• I have posted to the blog every day this week

• I have a good job and a good boss — and that’s not something I take lightly

• I am learning every day… I’m learning

• I am happy

• I got to read a really good book and even started another one

None of these are huge, flashy, “post it on a billboard” moments. But they matter. They soothe the chaos in my brain. They remind me that life isn’t just the big milestones — it’s the tiny sparks that keep us going.

And if your brain is anything like mine, slowing down long enough to notice those sparks is basically self‑care.

So here’s your gentle nudge from the Sanctuary:

Your small wins count too.

Celebrate them.

Name them.

Let them be enough.

What wins did you have this week — big, small, or beautifully in‑between?
